The hotel is very near to the famous Hutong area.

It seem the place is not easy to find if taking the cab.

The second stay in the hotel was not good at all. The service not very bad, not at an international standart at all. Extra costs are waiting, be careful! Personal unfriendly, not very hospitable and organized, not even acceptable English skills are available. I wont come again. And I cant recommend it highly.

The hotel is pretty cheap and it's an interesting location - the Hutongs. If you want to experience Beijing from a traditional Chinese perspective it's the perfect place to be. The air conditioning works great.

The personnel doesn't speak English very well which makes it hard to communicate. The staff also never says hello or goodbye and are just a little rude. The hotel is in the Hutongs, which is an interesting area for a while, but it is also very dirty and smelly. This is also a pedestrian zone, which means most taxi drivers refuse to drive up to the hotel. The main road is about 300 meters away, which is quite a bit if you are carrying heavy luggage or need to walk through the rain. Because of it's hidden location, most drivers won't know where to take You and it takes a few days to figure out how to explain it to them. The cleaning service is awful. Towels don't get replaced, the beds don't get made and I have never heard the sound of a vacuum on the premises of the hotel. The room doesn't have a fridge, so all the drinks provided in the mini bar are warm and unpleasant to drink in the 30 degrees Chinese heat. The doors open with special key cards, which for some unknown reason decode themselves forcing you to exchange them every two days. During our stay the hotel offered to organize a trip for us. We took a private car to the Great Wall. The trip was a complete disaster - we were forced to pay for everything - even small highway fees even though we paid 700 Yuan for the trip alone. The trip included the Ming Tombs which no one took us to and the guide attempted to take a photo of us "by" the Beijing Olympic Stadium from the highway instead of driving us to the building as promised. We will not be coming back.

At first it looks a nice hotel with a hutong environment

First time I went they were not able to give us the rooms we booked because supposedly the air conditioning was broken. They said the next day would be fixed and as promised they finally gave as our rooms. In the meanwhile, after some discussion, we managed to get other rooms. But some people had to share beds. Some days later we went back to the hotel, and they gave us a room in another hotel close to that one without even asking us. I spent one hour and a half arguing and finally I got a room with discount in the other hotel. Not in the one I booked. While I was in the reception I noticed their inefficiency solving problems and I heard that they told other people something else got broken in some rooms and they had to send them to the other hotel. My conclusion is: Booking this hotel is useless, you might end up not having your room when arriving there because they have given it to someone else. They allow overbooking, which for me is a serious deception to customers. You might be lucky, but if you are not, then good luck, because they are not fast and not even think about customers when solving this situations.

    Very good

The hotel located in a nice tourist area; however, despite its convenient location, it is not noisy at all.

The hotel washroom was not very clean.

    Very good

Nice hotel, standard room was decent and good breakfast buffet, but don´t expect a lot of western food. Really close to nice alleys with shops, bars and restaurants to hang around. Metro 10-15 minutes walk.

    Was really difficult to find.

    Good

I liked the free wifi and the lobby area in front of the hotel very nice place to relax, have dinner or chat with friends, ac worked good in room. The location is unbeatable very nice location. Liked the minibar in the room was very handy. Good price. Staff very profesional and booked me airport transfer and everything was good

I didn't not like my room was on 1st floor and a lot of noise in the mornings from people walking in the hall, checking in and out, you can hear everything and very loud. Hotel staff speaks little english but good enough to communicate. If you stay here make sure you stay in another floor but the 1st one becuase of the noise is very bad.

    Fabulous

Lots of nice bars and cafes just few steps away from the hotel. Clean rooms, english speaking staff. Nice design

Really difficult accessed by taxi, hard to get to with bags.

    Very good

The hotel was clean and modern. Staff could speak ok English. Service was good as well. No more carpet in the room :-)), nice and clean laminate floor. As 3 star hotel, it was a very nice hotel. A breakfast was included. Location is perfect, close to the Hou Hai (night life location) as well as good for shopping. The room which we had was Deluxe double room, nice room, but almost no window, mainly due to that it was located on the ground floor.

The hotel is located in the centre of Beijing, far away from the nearest subway (20 - 30 min walk), however very hard to find (specially in the night). It is hidden from the main street and there are almost no sign (just in front of the hotel). If you ask someone for direction, they won’t give it to you, they simply don’t know. Taxi’s wont drive you there because it is very hard for them to get there as well as they don’t know. They might drop you nearby and the rest you need to walk.

    Very good

The location of the hotel is really convenience for sightseeing and it only takes about 10 minutes to the rail lines station and other transportations. The staff is nice and helpful to sovle our problem and enquiry during our check in. And.. .it is worth to live in traditional Hutong and exprice the local lifestyle at a such low price.

No lamps and big indicated signs in the lane from the Hutong to the hotel. The hot water supply doesn't not substain and you have to wait during shower. The waste water could not disacharge freely and water was flooded in whole shower room and even the corridor of the room.

    Superb

The hotel is very very good located, next to a traditional old street full of bars, shops and restaurants.

  • 8.2
    Fabulous

This is about the best location you can stay at the price point that is hard to beat. It is easy to catch a cab or bus, to transfer to the major long distance coach station, or train station, or subway to just about anywhere. Also, there's pharmacy, lots of good food, restaurants, convenient stores, boutique shops, all within walking distance. Yet the place is quiet and serene be it day or night. The staff are nice and helpful. The place has lots of character, but do not expect international hotel comfort that charges you easily over a thousand per night.

    affordable and clean

it's impossible to find the hotel. it's hidden and you need to go through little alleys (that are a bit creepy at night). taxis didnt understand where to bring me.

    Very good

Quite good location near metro station. Good place to see the city. Clean pleace, quite good breakfest, but the personel don't speak good english even they dont understand the basic english world like the names of the days, counting-it is a big drama in 3 star hotel. Don't sugest the photos on the website-normal room look completely different. Clean but this is not a picture on the website. Only the most expensive rooms looks like on picture. Arround hotel there is no bar and place to eat-about 5-6 minutes is Mc Donald. The Booked.net write the wrong email adress and there was no possiblity to reserve a transfer from airport to hotel.

We counldn't reserve a transfer from airport to hotel. Dont't take any excursion from hotel the offered a big shopping tour with small seegisitting program this is The Great Wall and a lots of shopping and tips-misunderstending.

    Good

    The bathroom

The smell in the hotel was nasty, Flyer's voor sexroomservice under the door. The staff wasn't transparant about the price if you want to pay by creditcard.
